Schweizer Kartenstile
SOSM betreibt einen eigenen Dienst zum Rendering von Karten. Im Angebot stehen der Stil von openstreetmap.org, leicht angepasst auf Schweizer Bedürfnisse, und ein reduzierter Stil, welcher sich eignet, um eigene Daten darüberzulegen.
Alternative Karten
OSM stellt in erster Linie die Daten zur Verfügung. Es gibt viele freie Anwendungen, die sich einem speziellen Thema widmen und auf OSM-Daten basieren. Hier ein paar nützliche Beispiele:
- waymarkedtrails.org stellt ausgeschilderte Wege dar, wie zum Beispiel Wanderwege, Velowege oder Skipisten.
- Routenplaner: SOSM betreibt einen eigenen Routing-Dienst mit verschiedenen Profilen für Autofahrer, Velofahrer und Wanderer mit Schweizer Abdeckung. Für eine weltweite Abdeckung kann man auch das Routing auf openstreetmap.org verwenden.
Notizen auf einer Karte erstellen mit uMap
Mit uMap kann man einfach eine eigene Karte mit OSM-Hintergrund erstellen. So kann man zum Beispiel die Stationen der nächsten Ferienreise planen, oder eine Karte der besten Restaurants in der Umgebung herstellen.
Kartendaten für Navigationsgeräte
SOSM stellt fertige Navigationsdatenpakete für Garmin und OSMAnd unter planet.osm.ch zur Verfügung.
Schweizer OSRM-Routing-Dienst
Dieser Dienst basiert auf OSRM und umfasst mehrere modifizierte Profile für Fahrrad, Auto und zu Fuss, die ursprünglich von hier stammen. Es gibt auch ein experimentelles Profil „Foot (vampire)“, das nur innerhalb der Stadt Zürich funktioniert. Dies sind die Nutzungsbedingungen: Man beachte, dass dieser Dienst auf gespendeten Servern läuft und nur über eine begrenzte Kapazität verfügt. Man beschränke darum die Nutzung auf nicht mehr als eine Anfrage pro Sekunde und verwende einen gültigen User-Agent und wenn möglich einen korrekten Referrer.
Aerial Imagery
SOSM runs an instance of MapProxy to provide imagery to Potlatch 2 and iD editor users and additional imagery not available online.
Currently it provides tiled access to imagery from the cantons Aargau and Solothurn and the cities of Berne, Geneva and Zürich and some further special purpose layers.
Most of this imagery is included in the default configuration of the editors iD, JOSM, Potlatch 2 and vespucci and does not need to be configured manually.
Map Tile Services
SOSM provides a map tile service with multiple different styles and projections. A list of available stzles is available here.
osm.ch provides a web interface to some of these layers. Prerendered tiles can be downloaded from https://tile.osm.ch/tiles.html.
Overpass Service for Switzerland
SOSM provides both an instance of the overpass API with Swiss data and a matching overpass turbo user interface. This is particularly useful together with uMap.
Taginfo Service
Taginfo provides statistics and information on tags used in OpenStreetMap taginfo.osm.ch provides this just for Switzerland.
uMap
One of the most frequently asked question is “how can I show my POI/data/route on an OSM based map?”. uMap provides a hosted solution that provides that and more. If you have an OSM account you can immediately start using it at http://umap.osm.ch/ .
OSM Data for Switzerland
On http://planet.osm.ch/ SOSM offers daily updated extracts of OSM data for Switzerland, hourly “diffs” that you can utilize to keep a database with OSM data up to date and a daily updated map file for the OSMAnd app.
Online routing
http://routing.osm.ch/ provides up to date routing for Switzerland for cars, bicycles and pedestrians.
